Add a 2 1/4" exhaust clamp to your order
You will need to cut the catalytic converter from the factory pipe and insert it into the Walker pipe. 2 1/4" exhaust clamp is needed after the assembly is mounted in place. The muffler seems to fit up well and is a rather simple install. Final sound seems quieter than stock. Very pleased.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Good Fit, No Problem, Recommended.
I was concerned because the attached resonator was round instead of oval, but it fit properly. I cut the old exhaust off an inch forward of the resonator, which gave it maybe an inch and a half overlap into the old exhaust. Hangers in the right places. Be sure to get a new rear gasket (31598). The only other new part I needed was a 2 1/4" muffler clamp.Complete job done in 2 hours at the most. I had plenty of room by driving passenger side of the car (front and back wheels) onto car ramps.P.S. By ordering online, I also got a 20% discount and free shipping, which made this the lowest price available.
Buy this. It is the right thing to do.

This fit my 2011 For Escape perfectly. I simply unbolted the exhaust at the two flanges, cut the pipe just after the cat, and installed the new muffler assy. On muffler clamp and that was it.
Pretty simple install.

It's a pretty nice muffler. You have to cut off your cat and clamp it to the new muffler. Be aware that the muffler inlet is a larger diameter than the old pipe of the cat
