Right parts for my May, 2005-manufactured Matrix
This kit worked perfectly. There are different choices for vehicles manufactured before and after April 2005. Since my door decal indicated a build date of May, this was the correct kit. The bolts go through the holes of the flared pipe flange, and thread into the integral nuts of the engine exhaust manifold flange. Nuts are only needed if the original threads on the manifold flange are rusted beyond repair as was the case with one of mine on my 330,000 mile car. One of the bolts threaded in and tightened normally, the other would not tighten, so I drilled the threads of the flange and used a lock nut on the back side. Used hi-temp anti-seize on both bolts. Replaced the donut gasket while I was in there and now the exhaust leak and noise are gone.

kit incomplete
The muffler your company sells doesn't have welded nuts as per the OEM product, furthermore this kit doesn't include nuts, so an additional purchase must be made. Bottom-line, this installation kit incomplete.

didn't come with nuts and were metric so I didn't have them and had to go to the store to get them.

NO NUTS DON'T BUY
What scientist put this kit together without nuts. Also you do not sell the special metric nuts!!! I lost time and money had to buy nuts elsewhere. I wish I would have read the reviews first. You would think someone would be looking at the reviews and correct the problem? This is not the first time I have had the same problem with tie rod ends someone needs to look at what they are selling in QC!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Application for 2002 Chevy Prizm
P/N 36454 comes with two screw assemblies (screws, springs, sleeves and washers). For my application (2002 Chevy Prizm): - These screws (17mm hex head) are used to attach the flange on the front exhaust pipe to the corresponding flange on the exhaust manifold;- The screws slip through the flange holes on the front exhaust pipe and insert directly into the threads on the exhaust manifold flange. Therefore, no bolts are needed or should be used;- The screws are shaped differently from the OEM screws, but seem to be an improved design to ease attaching the front exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold;- I have seen from other sources that the springs may wear out over time, so if you're experiencing an exhaust leak at this joint, your springs may need replacing.-Bosal also makes a kit (#254-9900) that looks more similar to the OEM screw assemblies and also includes a flange gasket. In addition, the Bosal part is a bit less expensive than the comparable Walker parts.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
