Bought this for a 2015 Toyota Tundra (steel rims) when the original tpms failed. I was skeptical at first after reading reviews. So, I tested the new vdo tpms with a Tpms tool first to make sure the new sensor works/fits for the truck. Then, installed on the rim with no problems. After resetting the truck with the tpms tool (to register the new tpms ID to the truck ECU), everything worked correctly.

TPMS were not able to be programmed. Had to return them.
I wasted a lot of time and energy getting the sensors installed, and they did not work. I took my vehicle to three shops, and neither could get these sensors to work. I had to spend more money to get a tire shop to install their sensors. I lost about $200 on this experience.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
too many digits
The TPMS system on a Toyota can only have a 7 digit ID registered. This sensor has an 8 digit ID. Not right for my Toyota (catalog says it is an exact fit)
