Small Fire with Battery Installation
I only needed the battery for a few weeks as our lease was up in a few weeks.When the clerk installed the battery, he allowed the socket wrench to make contact with both the battery terminal and a piece of metal around the battery, It began to spark. He attempted to remove the wrench but it fused, got red hot and started to melt. This caused a fire around the battery. The clerk called for help and got a fire extinguisher and the blaze was out quickly with what we thought was no damage. A second person brought out a second battery and installed it and things on the car seemed to work. When I arrived home, I went to open my garage door but the opener did not work. I did not care since we were about to buy a new car anyway. Last Friday we purchased the new car and left the car with new battery. When we were taking out things from car, we went to put interior lights on and they did not work. I am now waiting to see what the lease return does in regard to the problem. Once I do I will be in touch and expect Advance Auto Parts to cover any damages related to this incident

I browsed online for a car battery I needed and Advance Auto had an economy one so I went to my local Advance Auto in Belle Vernon PA to order one.I was told to get the online discount I would have to order it online. So I said ok, I'll go to my car and order it by phone. Was instructed it would take a half hour before it was ready.Wasn't crazy about that but I did get a discount. When battery was ready I picked it up and took it home and installed it. The next day I had to take car to a shop and battery was dead.Was not happy about that. Car is a classic and it will be in the shop for awhile so I can't get battery checked.While I'm at it many times when I go to Advance Auto to order parts they say they can "Have it tomtorrow " Most weekend mechanics don't have tomorrow. We own a 2010 Elantra, an '02 Rav 4 and a '92 Camry. It shouldn't be that hard to get parts. I am not a complainer but I am not happy with with Advance Auto. The service has a lot of room for improvement. Thank You

cheap battery

Didn't know it had both top and side posts as the picture didn't display this nor what this in item description. I got what I paid for, the cheapest battery imaginable and buying online is stupid.
Not suitable for some cars utilizing side-terminals

My car uses the side terminals on the size 75 battery; this battery came with the side terminals and the top terminals as well. Because of the location of the top terminals, the battery hold-down clamp would not work. I had to fabricate a new hold-down clamp to make it work. Another problem with this battery is that it does not come with a carrying handle, making it a pain to carry and pick up to install.
Cheap battery,short life
Bought cheap battery because I seldom use my truck. The battery lasted about 4 months. With a 4 month lifespan, battery was not so cheap afterall.
