I have been using these lights in my past three GM vehicles and have always been satisfied with their performance. Every set has lasted at LEAST one year, and I have been commuting 30 miles each way at night for over ten years. With half of those miles being on narrow country roads with plenty of wildlife to look out for, a good white light is key in seeing deer in the cornfields and trees. They also look great without being obnoxious like those yellow, blue, and/or purple pseudo-HID lights that the kids seem to think are so cool these days. My headlights have always been a four-beam setup (9005 & 9006) so they cost a bit more, but are worth every penny in my opinion. As long as you are careful to not touch the glass when installing them, and you have no leaks in your lens/housing assembly, they should last quite a while under normal circumstances. Buyer beware, do your research!!
Take a read at [@] to find out why any bulb with a film over them is bad. They filter out the light, and the blue hue appears to be brighter, but in reality it isn’t. In order to compensate for this filter they have to push more out of the light, therefore shortening its life. I bought a set of these bulbs back in October, and they just died on me in early May. I would not recommend them at all, you’re simply paying for marketing and brainwashed employees!

I replaced my headlights due to issue with not seeing at night and/or in the rain and found that these headlights increased the range on sight a lot. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who has a hard time driving at night. I now take drives at night just to use my new headlights.

Substantial Improvement Over Stock
Since I got my E-250 van in 2008, I had hated the headlights. Although GE-branded, I found them inadequate for driving over about 45 mph at night. I installed these Silverstars, now I can drive highway speeds at night without being flipped off as I'm being passed. It's not a mind-boggling improvement, but it puts you where you should be as far as being able to see at night. I will note that the Silverstars produce a whiter light than the stock units.
