Easy to install. Lifts like it's supposed to and a bit higher. Last time I bought cheaper hatch struts and had to duck to walk under the hatch.....no more!

This item is a quick fix item
I purchased these to replace the original parts that came on my 2010 Chevy Tahoe. The old parts simply popped off after taking the metal retaining clips off. And with a little twisting to align the slots so they can be installed by pressing them onto the vehicle. They work ok and seem to be of sturdy construction.But the only thing is that they squeak a lot during use. So I hope that the items will stop soon? If not then I may have to exchange them for another part just in case these may be defective.Over all construction is solid and the cylinder is more than capable of lifting the tailgate.
