Schrader #33500 TPMS sensors for Subaru '08 - '14, Outback
Easily cloned a set of 4 (transfer ID's from summer wheels to new winter wheels) using Bartec 400 SD tool at tire dealer. Do this BEFORE INSTALLING to make sure they work before spending money mounting them in your new tires, in case the batteries or something doesn't work. The Bartec can read in ID's from the summer tires, one at a time, thru the tire wall, until all 4 are in the Bartec. Then go inside to the counter, away from the car, and copy the ID's, one at a time, onto the 4 new sensors. Keep keep the sensor being cloned a few feet from the others while cloning to avoid any chance of error while copying in the ID's. Next get them installed and the OBD-II should sense them just like your original wheels. My installer did a relearn for free (Walmart) after installing them, before I drove them, so I won't know until the spring, when I switch back to my summer tires, if my OBD-II on my '11 Subaru Outback actually read them without the relearn. But it should have. They cloned in 2 minutes. These sensors turn on from the inflation pressure when mounted in the tire. The OBD-II then needs to scan them before they will turn off the idiot light. Older sensor designs used magnets or tire rotation, etc. Before buying these, I got a bed set of sensors from eBay. I ended up spending hours investigating sensors and worked with 3 tire shops trying to get them to work, because they got mounted before they cloned them. What I learned: 1) once installed, if any tool can't read the pressure, temp or ID, they're dead; 2) Clone before install; 3) Schrader 33500 multi frequency and Standard Qwik-Sensors are the most common replacements per Bartec; 4) Once you understand that cloning avoids having to plug tools into the OBD-II and run a relearn, don't let any tech or shop supervisor tell you otherwise. Over half the specialists I tried to work with don't understand this, and will make you feel you're wrong. Including my tech who ran a relearn "to be sure", for free.

I would not buy this product again
After installing these, I took my vehicle to three different locations to get them programmed and no one could get the sensors to read, I went to the nearest store to see if I could exchange them for some that would read and the employees were not helpful at all and practically told me that since they were in the electrical category there was nothing they could do, after I got a little frustrated someone finally told me I could do a defective exchange which is all I wanted from the very beginning.
