12mm Valve Adjusting Tool
If you have an Acura (or if you have a valve train with 12mm valve jam nuts, you NEED this tool. I had a deteriorating valve cover gasket that I replaced with a new Fel-Pro (VS 50362 R). While replacing the gasket, I checked the valve tolerance with a feeler gauge--some needed adjusting. I initially used a 12mm box wrench and flat head screwdriver. At least two of the valves made more noise than before & the car felt sluggish. A week later, this part arrived so that I could do it right. The Schley valve adjusting tool (SCH88800) made setting the valves faster and easier. I didn't spend as much time leaning over the engine bay so my back didn't hurt as much. Win-win. When you finish, double-check clearances with feeler gauge and torque valve nuts (gently) with a torque wrench. Clean all head and valve cover mating surfaces thoroughly and add Hondabond (82194) to the sharp corners per the repair manual. Install valve cover flat and (gently) torque valve cover bolts in proper sequence. Congratulations, you just set your valves and replaced your vc gasket. Last thought: this tool is black steel with red handles, not CrV or polished steel like typical wrenches. Keep it in a dry place and it will be alright.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
