It is recommended for use in both air-cooled and liquid-cooled 4-cycle engines and is compatible with wet-clutch transmissions. Formulated with select synthetic base oils and Royal Purples proprietary Synerlec additive technology, Max-Cycle provides improved film strength when compared to the leading synthetic and mineral oil. Its shear stability and oxidation resistance promotes greater performance and protection. Max-Cycle meets or exceeds API requirements and is rated JASO MA2, the highest wet clutch compatibility rating under the JASO Clutch Friction Test.

I switched from 4T and find it works about the same. After I cycled the engine it made the valves a little less noisy. Time will tell if it works over the long haul.

Changed over to this oil, and found the bike to perform better, shifting was smoother than it ever has been. Seems to do a great job overall.

Great Oil
I have been using Valvoline 20W50 on my 94 Virago 1100 since 1995. She still runs like she is brand new even after 60,000 miles. Even in the Texas heat year after year. I have never used anything else on my motorcycles.
