Best Synthetic Oil Filter on the Market Today
I drive 78 miles to work every day. I also drive my youngest son to a Tri County football league three days a week, 70 miles on the other side of my house and on Saturdays we drive to whatever county his game is in for him to play. I put a ton of miles on my little car and oil changes are frequent. Since oil changes are the life of your engine, I change the oil every 5000 miles. All of my driving is highway and I use synthetics. The oil service life is much longer, but there has not been a filter to match. This one does. It is rated for 15000 miles, which matches the oil. Bottom line, I save time and money. I love it.

Never again!
For the second time in a year at this location, I bought an oil change special and was given the cheapest oil filter after paying for premium! First time my daughter picked it up and now my wife. I live 13 miles from this store but it is the closest to me. Both my wife and daughter work in Cadiz so it is convenient to have them pick up things on the way home (in theory). But no convenience when I have to drive 26 miles round trip to get what I payed for. Employees here just say "have a nice day ". Never again!

Previous version of this filter had wire backed media and textured paint on the canister - was only rated for 10000 miles though
Shady Specifications
For some reason Purolator will not provide a micron rating for their filters. Every other major manufacturer does this so why is it that they will not. Clearly they are not proud of the specs so they make it very vague. 96.9% dirt removal power! Seriously what does that even mean? If you don't have a micron rating then you have no information on the filter. Get it together purolator and quit trying to hide the specs of your filter.
Keeps oil cleaner at end of interval
I've used numerous purolator filter I practically swear by them as a repair shop owner/mechanic for European cars and domestic trucks the purolator boss keeps the motor oil cleaner at the end of a 3000-7000 mi interval I recommend spending the extra money regardless if you run conventional, synthetic-blend or full synthetic your car will thank you
