This balancer is going on a 1979 corvette with a mild performance sbc 350 in it.The rubber ring in the old balancer failed simply from old age.The new balancer is a quality product as good as or better than the oem part.The bolt holes in the new balancer were the same thread as the old balancer and were precisely cut. More importantly,the balancer press fit was perfect.I heated it in my wifes oven at 250 degrees for 20 minutes. Doing this made is slip right on with very little help from a balancer installer. I compared the timing mark to the old balancer and it was a perfect match.This is an excellent balancer and the price cannot be beat.
