Not really a necessary tool
Purchased to replace O2 sensors on a Dodge Durango. It was not much use to me in the removal process due to the tight quarters I was working in but that was not the fault of the tool. It did make it much easier to put the new sensors in and get a nice snug fit. Would definitely work in a more open space.

Socket too small to aid in initial breaking loose of sensor. Very helpful once sensor was dislodged when unscrewing and reinstalling. That wiring constantly gets in the way without the socket. Good ol' vice grips and a couple of taps with a hammer, THEN use the socket. Can you remove an O2 sensor without this tool? Sure. But it is handy to aid in speeding up the overall process. Socket is substantial enough that it will last for years.
