IS NOT LOUD
The only thing loud about this flasher is its color! Also the package says Electronic Flasher It is actually electro-mechanical. (As this web site says.) If you are buying this because you can’t hear your present flasher you’re wasting your time. (IMO)

Tridon 'loud' flasher

Please check the vehicle applications before ordering. This item is very easy to install, and is a good replacment for your stock flasher. I would have given this a 5 star rating had the device been a little louder. Though louder than the stock flasher, it wasn't as loud as I had hoped for it to be.

Worked for me, sort of.
I held off getting this flasher due to the comments I've read here. But after no luck in finding a replacement flasher that was at least as loud as my old flasher, I finally picked one up. Right off the bat, I knew it was too tall to fit in my fuse box and still allow me to put the cover on ('93 Crown Vic). Even though the salesman told me it would fit, I don't think he understood me when I said it looked too tall. Because the other 3 brands I bought before this one were nearly silent compared to my old one, I got it anyway. I was happy to be able to hear the flasher again even though it's probably a bit louder than my old one. It says 5 times louder on the package and compared to my last 3, it is. It's probably 1.5 times my old one (Wagner ???). The only downfall is that I had to cut a hole in my cover to allow the additional 3/16 to 1/4 that had to stick out. If I ever find a replacement that is the right height AND this loud, I'll use my extra (not cut-up) cover with that one.
