Mr.Gasket electric fuel pump
My truck quit running after i left a funeral home, my friend passed away over the weekend, anyways, i thought it was a clog in my fuel line because my old pump was getting power and turning on, but it had no suction. to find out if you have a clogged line or if your fuel pump is blown, take a gas can with a gallon of gas, stick one end of a hose into it, and see if your getting any gas from the can, if you are, your fuel pump is fine, if not, you need a new one. i went to advanceauto up the street, talked to a guy there, bought a new pump, and it was fantastic works great and my Truck doesn't randomly sputter or cut off anymore. it really does shoot the gas out of it. it's great. i don't know where these other reviewers are going wrong, but my gas line runs up vertically about 2 feet before reaching my pump, i have an old 84 f150, and it worked right, maybe those other reviewers had bad fuel lines, they can have small leaks and suck in air which defeats the purpose of the fuel pump suction, glad i could explain stuff for you guys, i'm new to trucks myself but it wasn't hard to fix or figure out.

This pump does not lift fuel up 12 in.
The package on the pump says that this pump will lift fuel 12 inches. I mounted this pump at the top of my tank. On the instructions they show the pump mounted at the bottom of the tank. Unfortunitly the fuel in my tank is drawn from the bottom to the top as most fuel tanks on autos are designed. When I first tried the pump there was only a half tank of fuel,so I filled the tank, the pump still would not draw fuel even though the neck of the fuel tank which is higher than the pump was full of gas.
