Teaneck sucks
The shocks are fine and Advanced Auto is great to work with. However the company that manufactures Monroe shocks is horrible. I purchased 4 shocks for much P/U because of the promotion they were running. I sent in a copy of my receipt along with the UPC label from each box as requested. Finally 6 weeks later I received a postcard telling me that I didn't qualify for the rebate because I purchased the wrong product There was no mention of particular products on the promotion banner other than purchasing Monroe or Rancho shocks. Not until after you make the purchase and go to fill out the rebate form is anything mentioned in tony letters. This to me is nothing short of bait and switch. The shocks work fine but, Tenneco as a company employs some pretty lowlife tactics and for that reason I would not recommend them.

Once Again
Shocks work just fine , they do as they are suppost to,Just would be nice if they weren't missing parts. The hardware package was unopened and missing 1 each washer and rubber snubber which I found out after I had the truck up on jacks and stands and didn't have another vechicle to run back to Advance Auto Parts and get a replacement kit.Grant it , it is not the place of the store salesman to check sealed boxes for all the complete parts ,tho ,the customer should be able to rely on getting all he needs to complete the job when purchasing parts in seald boxes. My dissatifaction falls on MONROE SHOCKS for having shabby quality control,,,,again ,maybe MADE IN THE USA do'es have more to it than meets the eye.Wont use MONROE SHOCKS next time I need them..

Wrong shocks
Does not fit 2004 Silverado with 5.3 liter motor. The correct shocks have a stud on top and a knuckle on bottom. These have a clevis type bracket and did not work.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Riding like new again!!
Verified Buyer -
I have over 248,000 miles on my 2000 Silverado with original shocks. Needless to say, the truck rides like new now. Installation is pretty easy as long as you have an impact wrench. Also I suggest not cutting the plastic retainers on the shock until you have one end bolted up. This will keep the shock partially compressed making it easier to align the bolt holes. While securing the loose end, cut the retainer and guide the shock as it extends while inserting the remaining mounting bolt.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
