Melling Stock Replacement Oil Filter Adapter

Would be great of the bolts came with the adapter.! How the hell can you mount it without the correct bolts! A special bolt is needed to clear the inside edge of the screw on oil filter! It sucks!

Would be nice if instructions with torque specs were included

It did not come with new bolts. I used it to bypass my oil cooler, I had to buy new bolts, if the part is 27,99 it should have new bolts.

To start this product has no included hardware, ie: no bolts to install this on my truck. I was mislead by an Advance Auto representative and told that this product came with the gasket and hardware needed to install this on my vehicle; AND was told once I picked this up that since it didn't come with the hardware needed to install that the OEM bolts would work...NOT, the OEM bolts are WAY longer than what is needed. Also, do note that is oil filter adapter does NOT use the same filter used with the stock 90 degree oil filter adapter. The threads on this adapter are 13/16-16 in. threads, the oil filter that fits this adapter is an L34631. Also, since this didn't come with the hardware needed to install onto my truck I had to take a trip to Lowes to get the bolts which, the ones that I bought that worked well are 5/16-16 x 1 in. which, cost a whole 37 cents but come on, the bolts could have been added to the kit at minimal cost. All in all I would say if you're going to advance to get this keep in mind you'll need to take a trip to Lowes to get the bolts needed to install this. In my opinion, get the mr. gasket version of this product, which is identical to this from another retailer that gives you the bolts required to make this install. And, if you do plan on taking on the endeavor of this product you're going to need to purchase a L34631 oil filter and get two 5/16-18x1 bolts from Lowes in order to install this product on your vehicle.
