Look up a youtube video from big D on oil pump replacement. His simple modification to the pick up tube with a dremel tool makes installation possible and easy without removing or loosening the oil pan. Brilliant video and big time saver

Use the Melling 10296 High volume & Pressure pump
If you're going this far put the High volume / High Pressure pump in. Don't waste your time with a Stock replacement. Also, PUT a NEW Pick Up in it. Too many people have found the sump was clogged causing the premature wear out of the oil pump in the 1st place. I don't recommend this Part number pump but Highly Recommend Melling Products. Excellent company with great reputation.
