good pump
I have used this pump for street,Stock car racing,and trucks for plowing. It has always performed well,with no problems.If you want to or need to replace your oil pump this works very good. Some people prefer the melling high pressure pump but I have found the high pressure pump to cause oil leaking of gaskets.

Transfer pump conversion

I purchased this pump to use as a transfer pump for various types of oil. It works GREAT! I blocked the factory ports off with JB weld, and drilled and tapped the housing to accept 3/4" NPT pipe nipples. I plan on running this on a DC motor, but first tested it using a 6 amp 2500RPM drill. I had not yet purchased the suction line that I needed, so I used 1" high pressure PVC tubing for the test, and 3/4" tubing on the output side. I was able to empty a 55 gal drum of used motor oil in 6 minutes with this setup. It primes itself very quickly, and it was drawing enough flow that it significantly collapsed the 1" tubing I was using for a suction line. This is a great little gear pump!
