So far so good.
Installed it on a dodge grand caravan. Taking the grill of the van took some time, but the actual installation of the cooler was easy. The only problem that I had was trying to find the right connectors to hook up the cooler to the existing transmission line. There seems to be no one that sells any type of compression fitting with the right size barb that will fit into the hose that was included in the kit. I ended up getting a compression fitting with a slightly smaller barb fitting and double clamping the barb side. So far no leaks. Its been installed for about a month now.

Does what it's meant to do
I find myself in a not so desirable situation where I have to have a pickup for home renovations, but not having the luxury of another (smaller) car to make my 100 mile round trip commute. So I like to take good care of my truck, it wasn't exactly made for 90 mph highway use. The transmission temps used to get up into the 170s on hot days. Now I average 140 with the occasional spike at 150 if hauling.

I bought this after I was told I had a transmission problem. It didn't help the problem, but it turned out the problem was elsewhere. I can't really tell if the cooler is helping in my application, but it sure can't hurt, and could improve the life of my transmission.

Install on a 2006 in front of all radiator and condensor. Drill two holes to get the cable infront of radiators or you can find a long enough tube and route it all the way in front. Fits perfectly where inlet and out pointing verticle. For the price is pretty good for 6 passes. Enough for my daily hard on the gas and long distance drive.

Serves the purpose

My Tacoma didn't have a towing package. I installed a hitch and started towing a 3800 lb pop-up camper. It was more than my transmission could handle as I smelt burned fluid after the first trip. So I did a transmission flush and installed this cooler. We just did our first trip with it installed and it seems to be keeping the tranny cool enough now. The only complaint I have is that they could provide with more rubber hose. If you want to install the thing in very front, where it should be for max performance, then you have to go buy an addt foot or two of hose.

bought it for the price

It was not hard to install. The only thing I had to buy extra was an adaptor to connect two rubber hoses together. Otherwise it included everything I needed to install on my 2002 300M.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
