Works better than the generic products. You don't want to have to pull the carb(s) a second time so use the good stuff and clean them out well.

Gumout Carb Cleaner, works mostly
Gumout has always been in my toolbox. It does a good job of cutting thru grease and oil and carb deposits. Using it I can usually get carb parts back to a clean shine if they're not too oxidized. However, the spray nozzle is cheap garbage. The last can I bought had the nozzle fall off, leaving its neck down in the hole and spraying cleaner all over until it ran out of pressure. If not for that, I would have given this product at least 4 stars. I will follow up with Gumout about this later. I said I would recommend this to a friend, but now with reservations.

every gumout product is aweful
every gumout product i could find made my car run A LOT worse. the fuel system cleaaner turned on the check engine light on both cars. the fuel system cleaner gas additive made all 8 injectors need to be replaced. go for the berryman!

Worthless
It doesn't do anything. It refused to dissolve any carbon and I ended up using over half the can and lots of elbow grease to clean my EGR valve. This stuff is worthless.

Back to the straw

When this product went to the "jet spray" without the straw, It was useless for me. I had to use other brands. I was glad to see they went back to the old school can with the straw taped to the side again. The picture shows the worthless "jet spray" can, but I just recently stocked up on the can with straw. Now I can aim the stream where I want without wasting It and making a mess. I will never buy the stupid "jet stream" can ever again. Hope they keep the old school can on the shelves for a long time to come. NOTE: The 5 star rating I gave this Is for the can with the straw.
