False Advertisement (Differential Gasket)
On 31 Mar 19, I order a Fel-Pro Differential Gasket for my 2002 Chevy s10 Crew Cab. Try to install it and put a bead of gasket maker on the Diff Cover. I lay one-half on top of the bead and realize it was the wrong size. According to the Advance Auto Parts website "Exact Fit for your 2002 Chevrolet S10 Rear; 10-bolt holes; Paper Gasket; AAM; 8.625" R.G." The part# RDS 55028-1 was not correct. I went back to Advance Auto last night and the workers determined that the part was correct for the truck but the gasket was too big for it. This was the only one they had on-hand according to the computer. After a couple of recommendation from them I decided to go to O'Reilly's and they had the exact part# RDS 55072. My world is all good. Today I came back for a refund and Advance Auto Parts refused to give me a refund because it had a bit of gasket maker on it and couldn't be used anymore. I explained to them that the online stated "EXACT FIT" How would I know that exact fit would mean "NO" fit. I told them if I knowingly bought the gasket that stated possible fit or guess at a fit and used it and it didn't work, than I don't deserve a refund. I ordered it online from their website knowing that it would be exact fit as stated. I did nothing wrong and they refused to give a refund. I read the Advance Auto Parts return policy and gasket is one that you can't return unless and here's an exception to that rule. "Returning Online Purchases to an Advance Auto Parts Store "Bring original packaging and your receipt, Order Confirmation email or Merchandise Return Form. All refunds will be credited back to you via the same payment method used for your original order. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable except in case of returns due to our error." This statement is part of the return policy. The ERROR was the Advance Auto Parts stated exact fit and it wasn't What a rip-off artist. I wonder how many peeps they did this too.

this thing is not a direct fit at all the only reason i didnt give it a zero is because you have to put something in the space use the RTV instead more control and not hard to use at all
