They work!
Despite the mixed reviews, I had to try these for myself just to see first hand. It's only a $20 investment for a 4 cylinder so what the heck? I knew from the really bad negative reviews I had seen that the spark plugs weren't the cause of the wear on the plugs themselves. The spark plug isn't at fault when an engine is running too lean or too rich. If you have been keeping a good eye on your AFR (air fuel ratio) and you know that your vehicle is running within the limits of what it was designed I'd suggest you give these plugs a shot. I put them on my 1992 Nissan Hardbody and I was very surprised at the instant increase in horsepower. It's not a placebo either. I had just put the previous plugs in less than 2 weeks ago and upon inspection they looked like new. Put the E3 plugs in and took it for a drive - It's unreal how much of a difference these things made in torque/power to the wheels. I've drove 150 miles since installing them and I've used 4.7 gallons of gas, so you can figure 32 mpg avg based on my driving. With the NGK OEM plugs I was getting aprox 28.5 mpg. I'd say that these plugs definitely do their job, not sure whats going on with all the negative reviews, but I can say that I'm not paid to leave this review I'm just stating it from my own experience, If I had been disappointed believe me, I'd made it clear in this review. People who have newer vehicles that implement more computerized controls over their engine probably will have a lesser improvement with these plugs - or quiet possibly negative effects. The ECM is designed to run under certain conditions and some of those a different spark plug can't cause miracles. OBD-1 systems will most likely see more benefit than OBD2 and CARB vehicles may benefit the most. Are they worth $5 a piece, well I paid it, so I won't complain - but if they were a little cheaper I'd probably gave these plugs a 5 star review too!

GARBAGE! DO NOT BUY!
Bought these in September and by March with less than 3000 miles on them 2 were misfiring and 1 of those 2 was completely melted through. I mean torched not even just burned out, torched. I am lucky these plugs didn't cause any major damage to my engine, that I know of yet (knock on wood). Long story short I will never buy these again and will tell everyone I can not to buy this product or any E3 product. Thankfully Advance returned them as defective.
