A few things not covered...
Be aware that this pump has a pressed on pulley as opposed to #58-481 that has a bolt on pulley. You will need a 36mm open end wrench or similar. My largest was 1 1/4 and I ended up grinding it out to fit. That said, there is no graceful way to undo the fan bolt. I tried different belt loadings, sanding the pulley, strap wrench on the pulley. Finally ended up wrapping the pulley with adhesive sand paper (it still turned), then started stuffing work gloves into the belt. It took wedging 3 gloves into the belt to finally put enough tension on it so as to remove the fan nut. All downhill after that! HTH!

Fixed my Chirping Noise
2003 Dodge Dakota 3.9L had a chirping noise after replacing belt, tensioner, and idler pulley. Old pump had free play in it but did not leak. Lesson #1 from replacement: keep belt on until large fan nut is loose. This keeps tension on water pump pulley while you rap on end of large crescent wrench to break loose nut. Lesson #2: Replace short bypass hose going into top of pump as part of water pump replacement. Not much room to work with to loosen/remove short bypass hose from pump without repositioning AC compressor. Remove seven screws holding compressor bracket to engine and reposition (with AC lines still attached) and there is plenty of room to get to water pump mating surface and bypass hose. Easy job once the right parts are removed and repositioned.
