Driveworks Water Pumps Engine Water Pump

Have a 2003 Silverado with 185k miles on it. Has been leaking coolant for several years, but has never given any other problems. Finally get this pump to replace the original one, with Speed Perks rewards it was virtually free. I was very impressed with looks and finish of pump. Easy straight forward replacement procedure. When removing thermostat from old pump I found the O ring was out of the groove and had been compressed from the factory, just enough to cause a small leak. When started pump was very quiet and had good flow. It has been less than one day but I am pleased and hopeful with this product.

I got 4 years out of it but the factory pump lasted 12 how can this be one would ask? Also in the event you are looking for a new pump ask yourself why there are multiple priced ac Delco oem pumps different grades etc.. I would say its where they are manufactured what kind of quality control the facility has etc.. moral of the story one product in the same line can be perfect others a pice of poop so basically its a gamble! What scares me is i just bought a car quest version of this pump from advanced and it has a limited lifetime warranty. So dose this mean they make so much money on them if your s fails they can just give you another one or is this a solid product I guess we'll see lamo!
