Which way do I go
I gave these four stars as they went in and worked but my only issue was there was really no instruction on direction of install. Some need to go inboard, some outboard.

Steer Clear!
I don't normally write reviews; however, these were so bad that I want to warn others. I bought a pair for my 2009 Chevy Avalanche back in Aug 2016. I have been working on trucks for 15 years; however, I decided to have them installed by a reputable repair shop since I had an upcoming road trip to plan for. 9-months later ( May 2017), I started noticing the same symptoms as before (steering wheel shake while braking at high speeds). So I jacked up the truck and tested the lower ball joints. The left 1 was moving up and down 1/4" already! I couldn't believe the joints were already worn out, so I brought it to my mechanic and he confirmed it's the left lower ball joint and that everything else is tight. I bought the same part from Advanced Auto Parts, had it installed, brought the defective one back under warranty and got my money back. The symptoms went away until TODAY! It is now Nov 2018 (18 MONTHS LATER ONLY!) and my steering wheel shake came back. I jacked up the truck, and BOTH BALL JOINTS ARE NOW SHOT!!!! In the past 2 years (only 40,000 miles), I have gone through THREE of these ball joints. I called up Advanced auto parts and was informed that I am only able to receive a new part under the warranty if I buy the same part. It is time I cut my losses and go with a different brand. I'm NEVER buying these ball joints again. In addition, the boot did not come pre-fit around the joint and was a major nightmare to finally get seated.
