We're planning to hold onto the car we bought this battery for, so when the factory flooded cell, lead-acid battery dropped a cell, we decided to go with an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery that will hold up better in the trunk of our car and should last for more years than the old-tech one did. We're pleased with it so far.

FALSE FREE ADVERTISING OF BATTERIES
The web site advertises free installation. I bought this battery online. When my son went to have it installed they refused saying it was located in the trunk, and they do not install batteries in the trunk. He then brought the battery home. Soon after I took my car to a local repair shop, and paid them $30 to have them install it. Afterwards I took the bill for the battery installation, and the old core battery up to the Advanced Auto Parts Store in Lincoln Park, and talked to the Manager about a refund. He refused to pay for the installation, but agreed that the ad should be taken down, and gave me a customer service number. I also had a duplicate order for this battery. One was for a 25% discount, and one was for a 20% discount. I requested on the printed receipt to cancel the 20% off order, and keep the 25% off. Exactly the opposite was done, and my credit card was billed at the higher cost. BEWARE! This was my local auto parts store... until now. Considering proceeding with small claims court action here in Lincoln Park, MI. on their store on 2230 Fort St.. No mention of any of the exclusions of the free installation online when you look all the details for the 3 year free replacement warranty, free installation, etc. I would not have purchased this battery had I known the installation was not included in the price as advertised. Not feeling happy, and feeling like I was swindled on top of it with not following written orders of cancelling order 97546373, and keeping order 97546478. Do not patronise this store. :(

Purchased this battery as a replacement for my 2000 Jetta TDI. Also, I used the $50 OFF coupon and purchased on line, make sure to do that and save some $$$. Old battery died when it was about 15* outside and even before it needed few cranks to start the engine. After replacing the battery it's been significant improvement in starting the car, I turn the key and it's on almost immediately. I only had this battery for about two weeks but so far so good. I was able to find few other batteries on the market that were cheaper but none had the high CCA that is much needed to start a diesel engine and after mentioned $50 OFF it was about the same price if not cheaper than the other batteries. I also installed the battery from same manufacturer few years ago in my wife's BMW and so far it's been working perfect.
