6 months - Dead...
If I could give the battery 1 star, and the customer service 5 stars, I would. First, the battery - My OEM battery died after 5 years and 100,000 miles. I replaced it with one of these AutoCraft ones because the OEM battery cost about 50% more, and these at least had decent reviews. It worked great for 6 months. 2 weeks ago, I went out to leave work, and it was dead. Got a jump, went home, charged it up for a few hours on a charger, dead again. Took it to the garage because...surely it can't be the battery. Local shop said there was drain from my electrical system. If it wasn't the battery, it was likely ECU problem. Took it to the dealer. Dealer tested for 2 days and ultimately said, "It's gotta be the battery." I fought saying the battery was brand new, but they were insistant. So...after 6 months of not even every day driving, I went back to see about having it replaced. Now for the good part...The local guys at AdvanceAuto took a look at my battery, ran a diagnostic, and sure enough, the battery had issues. They replaced it on the spot with no issue or charge. Took 20 minutes to take the old one out and get me a new one installed. Good guys. So it cost me $60 for the first garage visit, $139 for the dealer visit, and $0 to have the battery replaced. Needless to say I'd have been better off with an OEM battery in the long run! I'm very disappointed that this battery died after 6 months. I'm curious to see if my replacement lasts longer. My next battery won't be an AutoCraft, but I think the guys at AdvanceAuto get a thumbs up for service.
