Gold Performance!
I bought this battery for my 1993 Ford Taurus GL after I left the car on and drained my silver autocraft battery. I was hoping the service would be a little faster since I ordered it online but it took the associates a few minutes to find my receipt. Immediately after installing the battery in my car I had to give a jump to a Suzuki sedan and it exceeded my expectations. The Suzuki started quickly w/o me having to rev my engine at all. A little pricey but the cold cranking amps are there when you need them on that snowy morning before work!

HATED IT !!!
I have purchased TWO of these GOLD Batteries. The FIRST one went into my 1997 Ford F-250 4X4 460 CID. IT, only lasted not quite ONE YEAR. I have worked with lead acid Batteries for 45+ years, so I checked the specific gravity on all the cells when this one rolled over on it's back, (it went T.U. at least 12 times, and had to be charged just to start the truck) and the #2 cell (from Neg term) was reading water only. The alternator always puts out 14.6 VDC, and the ALL OFF current drain is only 3.5 MICROAMPS. So this Battery went back to the Advance Auto Parts store where I bought it, and explained to the sales KID, WHY it was BAD. It was obvious, that he didn't have a CLUE, as to what I was talking about with Specific Gravity, so he Tested it with an Electronic Tester, which of course told him it was O.K. !! There was NO educating him about batteries, so he would NOT replace it for me. Of course the Manager was not there at the time, so I found out WHEN he was supposed to be there (next day) and I went back and talked to him. He was very nice, and swapped it right away. So I got a NEW identical battery put in. Well, the new one was built in May, 2010, and now IT keeps going DEAD!! But, I am tired of battery swapping, so I gave up on this THING. I live in Lakewood CO, and I like a battery that will turn my crank at ANY temperature, even if the headlights were left on for 1 or 2 hours, (which actually happened to my wife in our 1995 Aerostar, with an Autocraft Titanium battery in it). The original MOTORCRAFT factory battery that came in my truck, lasted ELEVEN YEARS with never a failure!!! So I went to a FORD dealer and had a new 850 CCA battery put in. NO MORE AUTOCRAFT BATTERIES FOR ME. Sorry, but some of the CHILDREN working there, have NO knowledge of what they sell. But, that is becoming common everywhere these days, isn't it !!
