Battery is performing as expected
I haven't had this battery for long, but it is certainly performing better than the stock battery that came w/ my 2015 Subaru Outback. It was a group 25 type battery, I went w/ a 24 group type in order to have greater CCA and reserve. I'm not letting it affect my rating of the product, but the purchase process was less than desirable. There was a 25% discount that was online only. I went to pay with a gift card, but for some reason, the site does not accept gift cards. I chatted with a customer service rep online and they said they could cancel the gift cards and then apply that balance to my purchase. One issue is that if I had to return the item, I would not get the money back coming from the gift card. This made me nervous and quite frankly the hoops I had to go through are unacceptable for such a large company in this day and age. It eventually worked out, but it was stressful to go through (I had to make a second contact due to the credit not going through as anticipated) and I would not go through it again. On a better note though, when I arrived to pick up the battery, I was assisted promptly. I arrived with my own tools to swap out the battery in case they were busy, but they were able to help right away and swapped out the battery for me. They plugged in a portable battery into the compute and all of the settings that typically get lost during a battery disconnect were still there after the install. It's very nice to avoid re-setting all of the electronic options that come with today's vehicles!

Warranty not as promised
I bought this battery in January 2012 for a car that I keep in Florida. When I am not in Fl, I keep the battery on a trickle charger that I also bought at AAP. In March 2014, I noticed that the dome light would flicker (a sign of a failing battery) and later the battery failed to start my car. After an overnight trickle charge, it failed again. Because the battery carries a 3 year warranty, I figured that I could simply go back to the store and exchange it. If only that were the case, I'd be a happy camper... A trip to AAP, where they tested my battery (it failed), resulted in AAP replacing it with a USED battery. After several exchanges with AAP customer service I learned that the store manager sets the actual warranty policy, and that this store manager's policy is to provide a loaner battery, while they try to revive the battery for 24hrs. The next day, the manager called to let me know that he would replace my battery as it had failed his test again. He did replace my battery, but the battery he provided was 2 months old (Jan 2014). This simple exchange took two days to resolve, when it should have been resolved immediately.
