I looked online at the Advance website and found a product I needed. The page noted "available pick up in store" so I drove 4 miles to purchase it at their Mesa, Arizona store. The "online sale price" appeared not available on the store shelf so I asked a woman parts person behind the counter. She advised that "online prices" were not available in the store. If I wanted the "online advertised price" I would have to order it on the Advance Auto Parts website from my phone and then wait 1/2 hour until the store received confirmation that the purchase had been made. I asked her "So you don't price match your own website?". Well that set her off. Calling her rude would be kind. I stood there and ordered the product from my phone and waited for the order confirmation to be received by the store. After all the hassle the store price and the online price came out to be the same. The online the price was advertised $6.99 each and in the store it was advertised 2 for 1 with the original price being sticker covered up with the 2 for 1 sign so customers could not see the original price. This store parts person was rude, belligerent and unhelpful. This whole problem was because she couldn't do the math and see that the 2 for 1 price was the same amount as the 1/2 price advertised on the Advance website when rung up at the till. I'll never use the Advance website again it's too much hassle.
