Carquest Standard oil filters are designed to meet the original equipment (O.E.) specifications and the requirements for maintaining new vehicle warranties. Our oil filters use nitrile sealing gaskets and solid steel baseplates to prevent oil leaks. Carquest Standard oil filters feature cellulose media for increased efficiency at capturing dirt and debris. Each Carquest Standard oil filter is built with rugged components for durability and utilizes multifiber, high-density media for optimal engine protection up to 5,000 miles.

Good cheap filter. I believe it's made by Wix so it should be good. I've seen youtube vids where they cut them apart and the filters look decent with nice metal endcaps. Not like some other filters that have CARDBOARD endcaps. Hard to tell if its working unless you do an oil analysis. So yeah. If you really want to know get a Blackstone labs test done. But I don't really care that much so I'm going to keep using these.

Meh...
Only a couple turns before tight. Seems to be OK, but not ideal. Have not started the engine yet and I do not expect it to come off under normal conditions, but I will be keeping an eye on it. I will be replacing it after the break in period with another brand.
