Carquest Premium Painted Brake Rotor: Meets or Exceeds OE Specs, Features RotorShield

These rotors were bought in part as a teaching moment and opportunity for my daughters to change pads and rotors - age 19 and 16. The rotors were the exact fit and did not have a lot of shipping oil on them - easily cleaned with a little brake cleaner. The rotors went on with a breeze and worked perfectly with the Carquest Platinum Professional ceramic pads - my new goto brake components! We put these on a 2015 Hyundai Elantra - so far so good!

Considering that these are a replacement for the same at only 20,000 miles ago i dont expect them to last. The other ones showed signs of heat stress, like hard braking, repeated over enough to cause the metal to change colors. The brake pads changed at the same time are still 6mm and i drive 8 miles each way to train station. Put the old ones on at 37.500 miles and now again at 58,000. they are carquest parts. no evidence of warping, just poor stopping from 30mph. I would consider a better brand in the future but i am cheap and the car is a base veloster so why spend more money. easy to replace. decided to go with drilled and cross slotted in the back from amazon. 50 bux for 2 rotors. we will see how that goes. still saved $760 which is what Hyundai wanted to change them. Thieves.
