Our oil filters are built with synthetic blend media that provides 2X the capacity and up to 10,000 miles of protection. Carquest Premium filters feature silicone sealing gaskets for better performance in extreme temperatures. Carquest Premium oil filters meet or exceed original equipment (O.E.) specifications and meet the requirements for maintaining a new vehicle warranty.

Carquest blue is a good filter
This 84356 Carquest blue filter is a very solid and good filter for either synthetic or synthetic blens oils. When paired with their Amalie Oil Company made synthetic oil aka Carquest full synthetic oil it is a good deal. The bottom of the 5 qt container has AOC on it which is Amalie Oil Company. This filter is made by Purolator and works very well. Efficiency on the box says 99 percent at 30 microns per ISO 4812. Which is not Earth shattering but good enough for everyday cars and or trucks. This 84356 also fits many Nissan's and Honda's. It is also almost $4 cheaper than the specified 85358 Carquest blue.

A well made replacement filter tor a toyota corolla 2zr-fe engine. If it's your first filter change on your toyota, you will need a special oil filter wrench such as the autocraft AC1096. This wrench will make quick work of the job. Unfortunately,both the wrench and filter are made in China.
