Carquest Premium Gold Front Brake Pads: Ceramic, With Hardware, Long Life, Quiet, and Low Dust - Front

I bought these for my 2013 F-150. All of the comments about being to install are true. They are so easy that you can actually install them incorrectly and they will still work.....sort of. There is an inside and outside disc. You don't realize that until you install them and your brakes feel spongy. Two of the pads have four little metal dots/spikes and the other two have just two. The pad with two spikes also has two metal "ears" that stick up. The four spikes are the outboard pad and the two with ears are the inside pad. I bought these pads along with rotors 9/30/2016. They are terrible currently. New rotors I purchased with them are now warped these pads produce a lot of brake dust on the wheels. First started noticing pulsating pedal and brake back in early 2018 after about 20,000 more miles. Now I am shopping around for new rotors and pads. They say these are wearever gold ceramic but having an mechanic background, in my opinion, these are soft, cheap and wear more like semi-metallic or organic. Not impressed. Lots of brake dust and fading brakes. Since my less than 32 month old rotors are now warped and my pads are producing so much dust, I have lost confidence in my go-to auto store which is AA and seeking a better one for my brake needs. Changed numerous brakes on my vehicles over the years. First time this has ever happen. I think the quality must have nose dived over the years. Checking Autozone and online this time around.
