Purchased these brake pads because of the price and other reviews. As a single mom, I make it a point of trying to get the most for my money. I had a friend who is a mechanic install the pads and after I drove the car, I had to call him and let him know how great they were. I really wanted the Platinum pads but didn't want to spend that much. I am very pleased with the quality and performance of these brake pads and would definitely purchase these again.

Pads appear to be of nice quality and do not squeak or make any noise. The annoying part is they didn't come with any installation instructions. This would have been helpful because these brakes come with new shims already mounted to the back which have a rubberized type of material on them which is supposed to be for noise damping, but the original brakes have two shims on the piston side of the caliper so it wasn't clear if the one shim needed to be moved over. Also, Honda calls for a little grease to be placed between the shims and on the back side of the shims. I moved one shim over to match the original install as much as possible because I wasn't sure how well the rubberized material would hold up on that side otherwise. I also didn't use any grease as I thought that might degrade the rubberized material over time. If a manufacturer is going to provide a non-standard shim, they should provide explicit instructions on how they want the pads to be installed. I took two stars away for this as that was extremely annoying.
