Autolite Double Platinum Spark Plug: Enhanced Durability & Performance

I knew that when I put these in - THEY WORK! ALWAYS! Solid performance and stand up under extreme driving very well. The gap on the plugs where near perfect as I always check. The cost for durability and performance is very reasonable. Priced Right! In my 40 years working on & playing with high performance engines, I have never experienced failure when I use Autolite Plugs. The engine I used these plugs on is a 2000 Dodge Durango 318. The car is well maintained, but the engine just starting running so rough and the idle was up and down, at one point, I was convinced that the fuel pump in the gas tank was going out or clogged. I did the quickest thing possible, pulled the old plugs thinking I would see electrodes worn or burned or maybe oil fouled. Not the case, those plugs I pulled out where the OEM's and they did not look bad to the eye but the engine knew better. I double checked the new plugs gaps (which as always extremely close) put all 8 in, reattached the plug wires all the while thinking that the engine will more than likely run as it did with the old ones. I didn't change the Rotor or Distributor Cap yet, but I wanted to see what would happen if I started it up. The moment of truth (why I buys Autolites) as I put the keys in the ignition as turned the key switch.... Effortless start and the engine idle was smooth as new. These Plugs Work - Every-time!Just to test this out I purchased 8 Bosch Platinum Fusion Spark Plugs to see if 4 electrodes could be even be that much better. It was horrible; I thought I had somehow destroyed the motor. I could not get them out fast enough. Do the job right the first time, use Autolite. A fancy name and more electrodes means nothing over a lifetime of success.... Do it right, do it smart - Autolite. Oh I still need the Dist Cap & Rotor and I better get those new wires too. I have always used Autolite plugs and wires until now. Put a set in my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8 and the misfires began! Changed back to Champion and runs like new! Autolite should not sell a plug for Chrysler until they can get with Chrysler Engineers to fix the problem! It does not help that it is not easy to change the rear plugs and then have to do it twice! Hopefully others will see my review before buying spark plugs.
