GM VORTEC CAP AND ROTOR
Vortec motors are tough on caps and rotors Dont waste your time buying a cheap one A cheap cap in my truck lasted three months , spend the extra couple dollars and you wont have problems later like i did with miss fire codes , Because of a cheap cap arking out , Truck runs like brand new with that cap . I learned my lesson.

Rotor is the Worst Part by this Brand - Read Details
1998 Chevy C3500 5.7 V8 Vortec. 102,000. I use this as the base of my Sealcoating Truck. I decided to buy this Cap as part of a Kit that included 8 Plugs, 8 Ceramic Wires, Cap and Rotor. Not a bad all in one for $167 and with all my Coupons $37.23 shipped to me. Heck they said "ACCEL uses the finest distributor cap and rotors available." Tune up done 5/18/19. Approx 175 miles put on truck in those 2 months. Yesterday 7/13/19 I am driving on NY Interstates and the Truck Shuts Off. (I have other Problems going on like a battery drain and or rough running). Truck will not restart. 15 Miles from Home on 2 Highways, Tow was $400. The second I read the one review on this Kit today another individual had the same issue. Said his Cap and Rotor were cooked. My Mechanic of 40 years Complimented the Plugs and Wires, and heck the Copper Distributor and Rotor looked Heavy Duty. Sure enough the Rotor's metal tab was cooked right off. The Distributor had some burn marks in the center when flipped upside down, but wasn't cracked was far as I saw. Bought ACDelco Ignition Rotor for $7.99 and since I couldn't get ACDelco on the Distributor cap. I am trying BWD. Truck immediately fired up for now. If this happens in another 100 miles I will look to replace the full Distributor.

Accel rotor defective...
I bought this rotor, along with the matching cap, around 6 months ago when tuning up my 2002 Blazer. All was fine until last night when the car suddenly died on the highway and would not start again. After $140 towing bill to get it home, I checked the cap and rotor to find that the center tab of the rotor (the part that contacts the center pole of the distributor cap) had broken completely off. It was simply laying there in the middle of the rotor. This vehicle has 160,000 miles on it and I have replaced cap and rotor several times in the vehicle's lifespan. This is the first time I have used a non-AC Delco replacement and paid the price. Have never seen a rotor break this way... Stay away from this part.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Accel let me down for the last time
Verified Buyer -
I did a full tune up and the burb started missing check engine light started flashing and the code was multi misfire that lead me to the distributor but I knew that the parts were brand new and a brand I could trust so I payed for a pro to look at it and sure enough he showed me my brand new part had an internal flaw.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
