Accel Distributor Cap & Rotor Kit - HEI Style - Tan - 1987-1993 Various GM - Screw Down Cap

I purchased this cap and rotor to replace one that was well beyond needing it. I installed it that same day, using a friend's shop. I drove the truck home and there was a noticable improvement in performance. The next afternoon I went out to start the truck, and it would not start. It acted as if it was out of time. I spent some time checking to make sure the wires were on correctly, and finally pulled the cap. I found that the rotor was spinning on the distributor shaft, the plastic keyway that keeps the rotor stationary on the shaft had broken. Seeing as I had no other vehicle at my home, I had to walk several miles to return this for replacement. When I arrived at the store, they gave me a new rotor with no problems and even offered to have a parts driver take me home when they returned from deliveries. I declined the offer wanting to get back to install the part and get the truck running before an upcoming snow storm. I was too late, and ended up not installing the part until the next afternoon. The truck started and ran, I took it out for a couple of mile test drive and it was good. Early the next morning I went out to start the truck, so that I could drive my wife to work using my four wheel drive, rather than the rear wheel drive car. Once again, the truck did the same thing, trying to start but then acting out of time. I ended up driving her to work in the RWD vehicle. I came home and pulled the cap, again finding the rotor free. I pulled the cap and rotor, and took them back to the store. I was issued a refund reciept, but they say it can take 10 business days for the refund to show up on my card. To recap, Two rotors failed. Service was not bad, but the refund is not prompt. Avoid this unless you love installing rotors. I gave one star only because there was no way to give less
